The next semester of our One Church Academy classes begins March 29th, 2026, and end on May 24th, 2026.  These 9-week classes cover a wide range of topics allowing participants to dig deeper than possible in the traditional small group setting.

Spring 2026 (Second Nine Weeks): March 29th - May 24th Class Offerings

9:00 AM
Sharing Jesus in a Post Christian World - Ro Swan and Phil Umbarger
This is a multigenerational class that focuses our time on the Sunday School curriculum published by LifeWay.  This quarterly topic will be sharing Jesus in a post Christian world.  Some of our topics will include why truth matters, why Jesus matters, and why Jesus saves.

Other Religions and the Gospel - Tyler Clem and Coby Neal
We will take a look at different religions and worldviews and talk about how to share the Gospel with each system of belief.

10:30 am
Lead Like Jesus Revisited - Kevin Carter
Effective leadership begins with self-leadership, and Lead Like Jesus Revisited by Ken Blanchard offers a guide to aligning your heart, head, hands, and habits to follow Jesus' example. The book provides practical, faith-based principles to help leaders integrate their relationship with Christ into their leadership role. Through stories and leadership examples found in scripture, readers learn to lead like the greatest leader of all time, Jesus. Participants in the Academy Class need to purchase a copy of the book Lead Like Jesus Revisited by Ken Blanchard (Blanchard, Hodges, Hendry).

Abundant Living Changes Us and Our World - Bud George
What have you done for me lately may be a mantra for the 21st century world, but an abundant life isn’t characterized by exhaustion, envy, anxiety, nor busyness.  It’s easy to talk about, but difficult to live out. Let’s slow down enough to look in the mirror and ask if we are becoming more like Jesus and less like the world.  We’ll use John 15:5 and Galatians 5:22-23 as an anchor for our study.  It’s not about trying harder. It’s about letting go and abiding. Join us for a consideration of the fruit that comes from abiding in Christ and being led by the Spirit.
